Child Escapes After Assault In Woodbury: Police

WOODBURY, MN — Authorities are investigating after a child was assaulted near Markgrafs Lake in Woodbury. Just after 7 p.m. on Aug. 28, police say an "adult white male, heavier set" around 6 feet tall wearing a red shirt and black pants grabbed a child while he was walking on the path on the east side of the lake.

The child was able to safely get away, police said.

Witnesses and anyone else with information are asked to call Woodbury Public Safety.
