Crosswinds Arts Nights showcase student talent

Crosswinds Arts & Science School hosted a night of student musical performances April 24. A second arts night will be Tuesday, April 29, 6:30-8:30 p.m., at the school, 600 Weir Dr., Woodbury.

Band students, including beginning students, performed Thursday evening. That was followed by the beginning, intermediate and advanced orchestra students who performed a wide repertoire. A finale featured all three orchestras with a group of student vocalists from Perpich Arts High School.

A silent auction to benefit the Crosswinds theater program will be featured on the second arts evening on Tuesday, April 29. All proceeds from the auction will support the theater department’s production of “High School Musical.” Theater students will be presenting “dramatic style” scenes and improv techniques; visual arts students will be displaying animations, masks and ceramics; and MainStage students will be playing and singing original and cover songs.
