DNR Helps Put Out Woodbury Field Fire [Video]
A field fire in Woodbury led to the temporary closure of Radio Drive between Dale Road and Hargis Parkway Saturday.
WOODBURY, MN — Crews from multiple agencies Saturday worked to suppress a fire in a field on Radio Drive in Woodbury.
Officials reported "a lot of smoke in the area" just after 2 p.m. Saturday.
Radio Drive was then closed between Dale Road and Hargis Parkway due to the fire at 4700 block Radio.

Later, air support from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources arrived to help suppress the fire.

A Woodbury public safety spokeswoman told the Woodbury Bulletin that windy conditions made putting out the fire especially difficult.

Between four to five acres of the cornfield were affected by the fire. Officials say there were no injuries and no damages to homes.
