East Metro: Northbound I-35E MnPASS Lane To Close
Heads up: motorists will encounter a lane and shoulder closure on northbound Interstate 35E in the east metro this weekend.

Motorists will encounter a lane and shoulder closure on northbound Interstate 35E in the east metro this weekend as crews complete concrete shoulder work. Beginning at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25, northbound I-35E will be reduced to two lanes between County Rd E in Vadnais Heights and County Highway 96 in White Bear Lake.
The lane that will temporarily close is the MnPASS lane. In addition, the adjacent shoulder will also close. The work is expected to be complete by 5 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 27, weather permitting, according to a news release.
The shoulder work is part of the two-year I-35E Goose Lake Road and Highway 96 road resurfacing project. In addition to resurfacing, the work includes widening the road, re-decking and widening the Highway 96 bridge, replacing the I-35E bridges over Goose Lake Road, updating drainage, repairing guardrail and constructing a trail.
