
The East Ridge Gymnastics team nearly defeated conference power Roseville last night during their first home meet. East Ridge scored a 140.275 to Roseville's 141.05. East Ridge was ahead as they went into their last event, floor exercise. However, they had several falls and were unable to capture the win. Standouts were Sophomores, Megan Trollen & Wren Anderson. Trollen placed 2nd on Bars and Floor and 3rd on Vault & Beam. Anderson placed 2nd on Bars and Beam. Both Trollen and Anderson tied for 2nd in the All-Around with a impressive 37.05. East Ridge is very happy with their performance overall and feel they can improve on this initial team score as the season progresses. They face Hastings at home on Thursday, Dec. 12 at 6:30 p.m.
