East Ridge, Woodbury Compete At State Track Meet
East Ridge's boys 4x100 meter relay takes fourth; Woodbury's girls 4x400 meter relay takes sixth.
Members of the and boys and girls track and field teams competed on Friday and Saturday at the Class AA state meet at Hamline University in St. Paul.
The Raptors’ boys team finished 22nd overall with 18 points, while Woodbury’s boys finished 48th overall with four points. Stillwater Area won the boys state title with 47 points.
On the girls side, the Royals’ squad finished 44th overall with four points. Hopkins won the title with 84 points.

East Ridge Results
The Raptors’ 4x100 meter relay team took fourth overall. Ezekiel Okeleye, Connor Lyons, Valentin Huerta and Oludayo Ogundepo finished the race in 43.08 seconds.

Sophomore Nate Roese took second overall in the 400-meter dash with a 49.07 time, and Lyons finished eighth overall in the 200-meter dash with a 22.93 finish.
Woodbury Results
For the Royals’ boys team, sophomore Johnathan Osifuye finished seventh in the boys triple jump with a leap of 45 feet, 1 inch. Senior Torsen Rotto finished ninth in the boys discus throw with a 154-foot, 5-inch toss.
On the girls side, the 4x100 meter relay team comprised of Madeline Haut, Grace Rogers, Lisa Huska and Gina Versaguis took ninth with a 50.26 finish.
The girls 4x400 meter relay team took sixth overall. Emily Twohig, Lauren Domski, Rogers and Versaguis finished the race in 3:55.55.
Rogers finished 17th in the triple jump, and Donski took 11th in the 800 meter run.
