Woodbury Leadership Academy (WLA) is a tuition-free, K-12 public charter school where high expectations and success matter to all! Our learning environment and school community promotes academic achievement for students in grades K-12, as well as personal integrity, equity and a dedication to value and serve others. Our school is committed to our students’ long term success. We use inquiry based learning by teaching the Core Knowledge Curriculum — building strong skills in math, reading, writing, history, science and technology. We also have a strong character education program to ensure students develop exceptional leadership skills. The character education program includes service learning projects and a focus of five core virtues - respect, responsibility, perseverance, gratitude and humanity. WLA uses the rigorous and classical Core Knowledge Curriculum to build strong foundational knowledge across subjects, promoting academic excellence and equity. By ensuring all students share common knowledge, we can narrow achievement gaps and build critical thinking and long-term success. WLA is a public school with a private school feeling. WLA students wear school uniforms to promote equality, reduce peer pressure, and minimize distractions. Small class sizes at WLA allow for teachers and staff to provide personalized instruction, build strong relationships, and increase student engagement. I am wondering if you would be able to add an event to the Patch for the next couple of weeks.  The event is the 3rd Annual East Ridge Boys/Girls Golf Teams &amp; Ann Haering Foundation golf tournament fundraiser.  The event is scheduled for 1pm on June 28, 2012 at Prestwick Golf Course in Woodbury.  Costs are as follows:  Adults $99, Juniors $59 (include Golf, range, cart, dinner) or Juniors $49 (includes golf, range, dinner).  People are also encouraged to come just for the dinner and that cost is $25.  There is a silent auction after the golf.  There are many great on-course events including a chance to win a Pebble Beach Vacation Prize.  Corporate sponsorships are welcome as well.
