The Pomperaug Valley Garden Club Plans Floral
                                          Design Fundraiser

The Pomperaug Valley Garden Club has announced plans for a major fundraising event on Tuesday, October 14th.  "Flowers, Friends and Music" will be held at The Country Club of Waterbury (conveniently located at 1 Oronoke Road, just off I-84 Exit 18).  The featured speakers will be floral designer Adrienne Caruso and her husband Joe of Bridgewater.

Adrienne and Joseph Caruso are professional florists and the former owners of Terri’s Flower Shop in Naugatuck, Connecticut. Their shop specialized in superior customer service and lush, elegant  floral arrangements using unique containers and specialty flowers. Teaching and sharing their love for nature and the world of flowers and floral design continues to be an important part of Adrienne and Joe’s life and this will be reflected in their presentation. The program Adrienne and Joe will offer will focus on floral arrangements for dining and entertaining at home. Designs will be created in traditional and whimsical styles using unique and charming "personality containers" and a lush assortment of Holland flowers. This is a teaching program and the designs will be presented in a manner that will take the mystery out of the "how to design" and "where to begin" thus allowing you to truly learn the professional steps to take to achieve your goal of a lovely table design at home. In addition, Adrienne and Joe will discuss "tricks of the trade" that will help you create a professional and well balanced arrangement. Questions will be welcomed throughout the presentation. All of Adrienne's designs, along with table centerpieces designed by Pomperaug Valley Garden Club members, will be raffled off to lucky winners.  In addition to the raffle, the event will also feature a gift boutique of hand-crafted treasures, along with a fabulous silent auction.  Added attractions include a cash bar and live music.
