Head Of So. Washington Co. Schools Discusses Health, Safety

The district has a stockpile of sanitizers and personal protective equipment, as well as new electrical misters​.

WOODBURY, MN — As students head back to class this fall, South Washington Schools staff are working with the Minnesota Department of Health to enforce protocols that will prevent the spread of the coronavirus. Policies include wearing face coverings, hand washing, and social distancing.

The district also has a stockpile of sanitizers and personal protective equipment, as well as new electrical misters.

"Until we have a safe and effective vaccine, we don’t know what the rate of infection will be like in our communities," Superintendent Julie Nielsen said in a release.

"No one thing will stop the spread COVID-19, but we have protocols and procedures in place to create those layers of prevention.
