Advocates, Law Enforcement and Survivors to Speak at
Human Trafficking Forum
With nearly 5,000 runaways every year in the Twin Cities,
and as many as 3/4 of them being approached to engage in commercial sexual exploitation
or survival sex, human trafficking is a problem that touches all communities.
On Saturday, April 26, the public is invited to join a
dialogue with advocates and law enforcement officials on the frontlines of
human trafficking both locally and internationally, in Kenya
and Bhutan. After
the presentations, a dessert bar will be offered while attendees have an
opportunity to mingle with presenters and ask questions on an informal,
one-to-one basis.
