A man has been charged with burglary after police say he attempted to steal a bicycle out of a Woodbury resident’s garage. On Oct. 13, shortly before 1:15 p.m. police say the victim looked out the window of his home and saw a male, later identified as Kevin Le Jurek, 52, riding his father's bicycle out of the garage.
The victim, who lives on Copper Cliff Trail in Woodbury, followed Jurek and confronted him on Woodlane Drive. The victim asked the Jurek why he was in his garage and riding his father's bike. According to police, Jurek said he needed to see his family at the hospital. The victim told Jurek to get off the bike, and he then contacted law enforcement.
A Woodbury police officer responded and later located Jurek at Allina Clinic. He told Jurek that he matched the description of a male who took a bicycle. Jurek said he found the bike in the ditch, according to police.
