Man Dies In Crash On Interstate 35E In East Metro

TWIN CITIES, MN — One man is dead after his vehicle struck a guardrail in the east metro Wednesday. Javier Gerald Archuleta, 47, of Minneapolis, was driving a Toyota Camry was southbound on Interstate 35E at Interstate 694.

The Toyota ran off roadway struck guardrail and light post prior to rolling. Toyota came to rest on its roof, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Archuleta died at the scene. Derrick Brown, 23, of Columbia Heights, was a passenger in the vehicle at the time of the crash. Brown was transported to Regions Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
