The Minnesota
Cajun & Zydeco Music & Dance Association is celebrating Mardi
Gras on February 8, 2014, with two
dance bands (one Cajun and one
zydeco!). We'll be celebrating at the beautiful Withrow
Ballroom (only 30 minutes NE of I-94 & Hwy 61--St. Paul) with the New Riverside Ramblers followed by JJ’s
Zydeco Paydirt. Costumes are not required but a
costume parade and contest are part of the evening celebration!
Doors open at 5:30, dance
lessons start at 6:15. At 7:00 New Riverside Ramblers
kick off the evening with
Cajun music. The parade and
contest take place around 8:30-9:30. Then with JJ's Zydeco Paydirt we'll continue dancing from 9:30 until
11:00pm.
Come join in the fun, collect
some Mardi Gras beads, learn the dances, meet our community of dancers, and enjoy the music. The
costumes and decorations will be
awesome, no doubt! All
this for just $18 at the door.

Zydeco dance lessons are available January 16, 23 and
30 at the Eagles Club #34 for $10 each or $25 for all 3 sessions. Simply show
up just before 7:00pm to pay at the door for each progressive lesson, learn and

$5-7. It’s a
great way to get a head start on your dancing style for the Mardi Gras Dance!
