National Night Out 30th Anniversary, Tuesday August 6th

Turn on your porch light and get out and meet your neighbors! National Night Out is celebrating it’s 30th year promoting police-community partnerships, crime prevention, and neighborhood camaraderie. National Night Out represents the kind of spirit, energy and determination to help make neighborhoods a safer place year round. 

National Night Out is designed to:

• Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness
• Generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs
• Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships, and
• Send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized

Although National Night Out is only a one day/evening event, neighbors repeatedly report that the neighbors they meet help build stronger neighborhoods throughout the year. The relationships they build with their neighbors enable them to stay connected to each other, making neighborhoods safer. Last year, over 15,110 communities participated nationwide.
