New Restaurant: Woody’s Opens in Woodbury

The restaurant opened Monday in the former Throwbacks space.

Management tried to keep the opening quiet, but after seeing the food come out Monday evening, Woody’s Roadhouse is good to go.

“We’re ready to get nailed,” said David Harvey, general manager of the new restaurant, which opened Monday in the former location.

Ownership was . And the space has seen several improvements over the past three weeks, including a new hardwood floor, opened up seating areas, updated tables and chairs, a new bar top… and new booths.

The menu also got a major overhaul, and Woody’s Roadhouse serves steak, burgers, ribs, skewers and rotisserie meats. There is also a much bigger selection of tap and bottled beer.

“You can’t match the quality of the food here at the prices we’re seeing—not even close,” Harvey said.

Woody’s will continue to have live music on weekend nights; it will start up again next weekend with Tim Sigler.

“We haven’t completely gotten away from that, but when you’re sitting in here now, you feel like you’re in a restaurant,” Harvey said. “We’re not getting away from kicking it up and having some fun.”

There are still pool tables and an arcade game area, and there is also a play area for kids that looks like a jail.

A few finishing touches are coming together to accent the roadhouse feel, Harvey said, and a future phase calls for expanding the patio and updating the landscaping.
