On Valentine's Day, A Celebration Of Puppy Love
Animal Inn Pet Resort and Spa is holding a canine wedding at doggie daycare.
The pooches at Animal Inn Pet Resort and Spa in Lake Elmo are in for a special treat on Valentine's Day.
They’ll be celebrating the nuptials of two fellow canines—American Staffordshire terriers Cy and Zali—in an event that’ll be complete with “pupcakes” and a kissing booth.
“They are good friends, but the bride gets irritated with the groom sometimes,” said owner Karla Edwards, who is a groomer at Animal Inn.

Edwards’ two Pekingese dogs will be the attendants.
It’s the pet resort’s first wedding, and it’s serving as a sort of kickoff to the business’ doggie daycare program, which just started this month, said co-owner Dawn Larson.

“They’ll be walking down a red aisle, they’ll sit in front of a decorated arch and we’ll proceed with the short and sweet ceremony,” Larson said.
The bride, groom and attendants will be dressed up in wedding attire, she said.
Halloween has given them practice dressing up, Edwards said, but getting the four dogs to stand together through the ceremony will likely be a challenge.
There’s still space for wedding guests, call 651-777-0255 for more information.
