Hot Laptop May Be Responsible For Woodbury Fire

WOODBURY, MN — A family's home in Woodbury has been deemed a total loss by public safety officials after a September 2015 fire that may have resulted from an overheated laptop. The house was the residence of Bill Finnegan, his wife Barb, and their six kids.

Finnegan was at home when the fire began, the Woodbury Bulletin reported.

Finnegan told authorities that he thinks the fire began when a laptop computer that was lying on a couch overheated. The cause cannot be confirmed until Woodbury fire inspectors complete their investigation.
