Photos: Woodbury Playground Moved to Syrian Refugee Camp
Woodbury's Timberlea Park playground was removed in 2015 and eventually found a new home in Lebanon at a Syrian refugee camp.
In 2015, Woodbury's Timberlea Park playground was removed and donated to Kids Around the World, a non-profit organization that removes, repairs and re-installs playgrounds in countries affected by war, poverty, natural disaster and disease. Last November, it finally found a new home in Lebanon at a Syrian refugee camp, where hundreds of children enjoy what little they can each day, according to city officials.
According to its website, since 1994, Kids Around the World, a Christian organization, has worked in more than 60 countries through means of providing playgrounds.
