Police Blotter: Runaway Bras, Serial Egging, ‘I’m That Dude’ Steals Two TVs

The following information was obtained from recent police reports.

A man was arrested and booked at the Washington County Jail after he was seen running from with his arms full of $600 worth of stolen merchandise. It was mostly sleepwear and bras.

A portion of a cornfield at the 7500 block of Glen Road caught fire, and a resident was trying to put it out with a hose. The Woodbury Fire Department arrived and assisted.

Police were called about a suspicious group of people who were seen going around with flashlights at . Officers learned it was students filming a video for school.

A Woodbury man called police after his mother sent him a text message asking where the DVD remote was. She has a no-contact order out against him and he told police she was texting him about the remote in an effort to frame him. He asked officers to call her and tell her not to contact him.

A Woodbury man contacted police after a person responded to his Craigslist ad for a $600 rug but sent him a check for $2,240 with instructions on how to return the rest of the money. Officers determined the address listed for the returned money had been involved in other scams.

A man took nearly $400 worth of groceries out of without paying for them, and when approached left the items except for two bags of charcoal. Police have a suspect in the incident. The man is also suspected of stealing from the Stillwater Cub Foods.

A resident called police after he was tailed from Interstate 94 to Woodbury. The other driver claimed he cut him off and started yelling at the individual and threatening him when they arrived in a parking lot at the 6000 block of Hudson Road.

Police stopped a vehicle after noticing that the driver didn’t have a seatbelt on and found an open bottle of vodka in the car and more than 22 grams of marijuana in a backpack in the trunk.

Numerous vehicles in the area of the 600 block of Sutherland Drive were egged.

Police were called about a suspicious metal item with wires hanging from it that was wrapped in a jacket and sitting in the middle of a sidewalk on Upper Afton Road. It turned out to be a refrigerator compressor.

A woman called police to say that her ex-husband had intentionally broken a chair while moving out of the house. Police advised her it was a civil matter and discussed ways to avoid conflict in the future.

Two Samsung televisions priced at $1,648 each were reported stolen from Sam’s Club by four individuals, one of whom was wearing a T-shirt that read “I’m that dude.” The group is suspected in a ring of thefts at area stores with losses exceeding $240,000.

A $200 pair of sunglasses and a GPS device were reported stolen from a truck parked in a driveway at the 3500 block of Williamsburg Bay.

Two guitars reportedly fell out of a Woodbury resident’s car, possibly near the Courtly Road-Woodlane Drive intersection.

Xcel Energy was called after a power pole near was sparking.

A man who lives at the 10600 block of Kilbirnie Alcove was booked for domestic assault after he put his wife in a bear hug, threw items in the home made threats against her and others.

Three pedestrians were hit while crossing Radio Drive. ( can be found on Patch, along with .)

Nothing was missing from a home at the 10300 block of Eagle Point Terrace that was broken into. A resident noticed pry marks around the back door. An alarm system was deployed.

A worker at discovered that the front license plate on his vehicle had been stolen and police learned the same plate was seen on a different vehicle involved in a gas drive off in Cottage Grove.

The window of a vehicle parked in the staff lot at was reported scratched.

An animal group contacted the for help with a cat that had become stuck in a sewer drain at the 11000 block of Oak Grove Circle. The group had received several calls about the cat. Officers placed a live trap in the sewer and the group was going to handle the matter from there.
