Woodbury Leadership Academy (WLA) is a tuition-free, K-12 public charter school where high expectations and success matter to all! Our learning environment and school community promotes academic achievement for students in grades K-12, as well as personal integrity, equity and a dedication to value and serve others. Our school is committed to our students’ long term success. We use inquiry based learning by teaching the Core Knowledge Curriculum — building strong skills in math, reading, writing, history, science and technology. We also have a strong character education program to ensure students develop exceptional leadership skills. The character education program includes service learning projects and a focus of five core virtues - respect, responsibility, perseverance, gratitude and humanity. WLA uses the rigorous and classical Core Knowledge Curriculum to build strong foundational knowledge across subjects, promoting academic excellence and equity. By ensuring all students share common knowledge, we can narrow achievement gaps and build critical thinking and long-term success. The City of Arden Hills is celebrating its 75th anniversary with a community celebration on Friday, July 17, at Cummings Park. This free, family-friendly event will feature activities and entertainment for all ages.
With the theme "Arden Hills: Past, Present and Future," the celebration will highlight the City's history through historical displays, family activities, live music, local vendors and more. The event will also feature a classic car show, food trucks, the beloved Penny Carnival and a drone light show to wrap up the night.
Residents, former residents, businesses and visitors are invited to celebrate 75 years as a community.
Arden Hills: Past, Present and Future - 75th Anniversary Celebration 
Friday, July 17 
4 – 10 p.m. 
Cummings Park 
1219 Cummings Park Drive, Arden Hills
4 p.m. – Penny Carnival and family activities
4 p.m. – Car show, food trucks, vendor booths, historical displays and more
6 p.m. – Live music by Power of 10
9:30 p.m. – Drone light show
Admission is free. Food trucks will be on site with food, beverages and beer available for purchase.
