One individual was described as a black male, 5-foot-8 and about 150 pounds, Alberio said. The other was said to be a white man about the same height and 180 pounds. There was no description available for a third man driving the vehicle, he said.

Haven Chemical Health Systems is located at the 2000 block of Wooddale Drive.Β

Alberio said it’s not unheard of for people to steal a safe from a business, but it more often occurs at places like grocery stores or gas stations.

β€œIt happens,” he said. β€œIt’s not that uncommon.”

No one confronted the men, Alberio said.Β

Bob Haven, owner of the drug and alcohol abuse rehab facility, said the safe was in a back room. Insurance checks that were in the safe were quickly canceled, he said. There was also $1 in cash in the safe from a patient's co-pay.

"So the total profit for them lugging it around was one dollar," Haven said.

Haven Chemical Health Systems has seven clinics in the Twin Cities, Haven said, and the Woodbury location serves as its office headquarters.Β

The crime, he said, "is irritating, but we weren't hurt bad."Β
