Ms. Braun has been an integral member of our district, most recently serving as a special services supervisor where she has worked tirelessly with our schools to help support students and their families. Her leadership resulted in an exemplary report from the Minnesota Department of Education in its program review of special education.
Ms. Braun also understands the importance of problem-solving to help parents and teachers support students. She has aligned resources for students who require special education classrooms and worked to better train staff to create successful individualized education programs (IEP) for students from birth to age 21. Additionally, her knowledge of special education law and procedures is impressive. Ms. Braun is uniquely qualified to address the challenges and celebrate the strengths of special education in South Washington County Schools.

Ms. Braun’s familiarity with special services will allow for a smooth transition into the director position. Please give her a warm welcome to this new role. I am excited to work more closely with such a valued staff member."
Sincerely,

Keith Jacobus
