Woodbury Leadership Academy (WLA) is a tuition-free, K-12 public charter school where high expectations and success matter to all! Our learning environment and school community promotes academic achievement for students in grades K-12, as well as personal integrity, equity and a dedication to value and serve others. Our school is committed to our students’ long term success. We use inquiry based learning by teaching the Core Knowledge Curriculum — building strong skills in math, reading, writing, history, science and technology. We also have a strong character education program to ensure students develop exceptional leadership skills. The character education program includes service learning projects and a focus of five core virtues - respect, responsibility, perseverance, gratitude and humanity. WLA uses the rigorous and classical Core Knowledge Curriculum to build strong foundational knowledge across subjects, promoting academic excellence and equity. By ensuring all students share common knowledge, we can narrow achievement gaps and build critical thinking and long-term success. Thieves created a cavity in a wall at a Woodbury dental office, but only made off with a few bucks. A hole was made in an exterior wall at <a href="http://citywalkdental.com/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">CityWalk Dental</a> during the overnight hours of Tuesday and Wednesday, said Jay Alberio, the 's public information officer. When those types of crimes occur, a hole is usually cut through the wall of an adjoining business, he said, and "it is a little unusual" to see it happen to an exterior wall. It's unclear how the thieves created the hole, Alberio said. There are no surveillance cameras in the area. The thieves got away with only a small amount of money. It doesn't appear that they were after any drugs at the dentist office, which was also odd, Alberio said. The hole had been patched up by Wednesday morning. CityWalk Dental officials had no comment.
