TWIN CITIES, MN — The website Safewise has ranked suburbs and towns in the Twin Cities metro area based on safety. The rankings are based on both crime and survey data.

Cottage Grove topped the list as the most safe suburb, with a violent crimes rate of just 0.41 per 1,000 people and a property crime rate of 20.66 per 1,000. The median income in Cottage Grove is $90,337.
