Imagine a playground where children with and without disabilities can play together side by side to foster friendships, understanding, and acceptance. That's the idea behind "Madison's Place," an inclusive play space that is meant to be installed at the newly remodeled Bielenberg Sports Center in Woodbury. The play structure will be the first of it's kind in the East Metro.
The Madison Claire Foundation has been chosen as a finalist in the first ever MN Twins All Star Fans Choose $500,000 Grant. It is 1 of 7 non profits selected, out of 100, that have a capital project underway to compete for the grant. The public now gets to vote on which non profit wins the grant. If MCF wins this grant, funding would be completed and construction will begin immediately. The playground could be in place by the end of August or early September.
