Wedding Ring Recovered After Woodbury Police Solve Burglary

Associates say a recently convicted man was "addicted" to burglary and committed at least two crimes a night.

One man was sentenced to four years in prison after pleading guilty to a string of burglaries in Twin Cities suburbs. Joseph Anthony Vasquez was convicted for burglarizing residents in towns including Burnsville, Chanhassen, Coon Rapids, White Bear Lake Township, and Forest Lake.

The Woodbury Bulletin reported that persistence paid off for Woodbury Public Safety when two undercover officers ventured to Burnsville to follow a suspicious car and happened to find the suspect.

Vasquez's associates told police he is "addicted" to burglary and commits at least two crimes a night.

In addition to finding the culprit behind numerous local burglaries, another result of the good detective work by Woodbury police is that a Burnsville woman has her wedding ring back.
