MAPLEWOOD, MN — Police are investigating after a woman was struck and killed in Maplewood early Monday morning after what is believed to have been a "dispute," authorities say. At approximately 12:43 a.m. on Dec. 23, Maplewood police and fire crews were called to the area of Londin Lane and Crestview Drive for a crash. Police say a woman had been struck by a vehicle, and she was found in the roadway. Police and EMS personnel treated the her. However, she was later pronounced dead at the scene. Further information indicated a dispute of some type had taken place, possibly between the woman and another person, police said. With the assistance of the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, Maplewood police continue to investigate the incident. Patch will update this story as more information become available.
