According to a report by Time Money, Woodbury's unemployment rate is 3.6 percent, and its property tax rate is about $3,542.
The city's average commute time is 29 minutes.

The analysis references Woodbury's $22 million upgrades to the Bielenberg Sports Center and the city's thriving health and wellness industry.
Woodbury is the ninth largest city in Minnesota, with a population of 67,696. That’s up a whopping 46% from 2000. It’s no surprise that Woodbury is growing, though—this community just east of the Twin Cities offers plenty to do, a diverse population, varied housing stock, and easy access to a number of good jobs. And even though growth in Woodbury has skyrocketed, this planned community has been smartly developed according to a master plan that’s about 75% complete.
Woodbury is home to Anytime Fitness, as well as several orthopedic clinics and other health care facilities. Woodbury is also near 3M, making it an easy commute for employees who live in town.

Woodbury is one of two Minnesota cities that made Time Money's list of best places to live. Eden Prairie was ranked as the second best place in the country to live.
