Woodbury Among Most Prosperous Small U.S. Cities: Report
The new study found that 100 percent of the population is "living in prosperity."
WOODBURY, MN — Woodbury has one of the strongest economies in the U.S. among small cities, a new report finds. On Monday, the Economic Innovation Group released a 2017 study on economic vitality of U.S. communities nationwide. The study evaluates the relationship between community well-being and other factors such as individual health outcomes, public assistance spending, demographics, and political representation, according to the group.
Woodbury (population 65,667) was found to be among the top ten most prosperous small cities in the U.S., with 100 percent of the population "living in prosperity." Also of note; the city had a "Distressed Communities Index" score of 0.7, on a scale of zero to 100.
