Woodbury Community Expo Set for Saturday
Nearly 150 area businesses and nonprofits will be represented at the second annual event.

The is gearing up for its second annual Woodbury Community Expo, set for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 16. Nearly 150 booths will be set up at the event for a “fun, fair-like atmosphere,” said Kim Snyder, the chamber’s membership director.
In addition to the information provided at the booths, the expo features food, live entertainment—jugglers, live music, a magic show, a presentation by the Raptor Center and more—and a new raffle this year that features $12,000 in prizes. Admission is free.

The expo has grown from last year, when 127 groups were represented, and organizers learned a few things, Snyder said, such as offering additional food options and more interactive entertainment. The event has a “trade show feel,” she said, and includes a broad range of businesses and nonprofits.
There will be a shuttle every five minutes running from to Bielenberg Sports Center, Snyder said.

“Rain or shine, we’re going to be there having a good time,” she said.
Maps will be provided so folks can find what they’re looking for, and Snyder suggested people check out the entertainment schedule on the event’s website to find a good time for their family to attend. The expo will also have retro video games this year. “Bring your quarters,” Snyder said.
She said the event helps showcase local organizations for the public. (Woodbury Patch will be there.)
“It’s so cool,” Snyder said. “It’s hard to describe, but it’s just a really fun event. You get to see all types of people from our community having a good time. It’s fun to see it all come together.”
