Woodbury Developer Has Former Heinrich Home Demolished

The former home of Jacob Wetterling's killer, Danny Heinrich, was demolished Friday.

The former home of Jacob Wetterling's killer, Danny Heinrich, was demolished Friday. Woodbury real estate developer Tim Thone bought the vacant central Minnesota home earlier this month with plans to have it demolished.

Heinrich, who confessed to the abduction and murder of Wetterling in September after nearly 27 years, was sentenced to federal prison for 20 years on one count of possessing child pornography.

After serving his prison sentence, Heinrich will be on supervised release for the rest of his life.

Thone spoke to the Wetterling family personally about his plans for the house before buying it. "I am thrilled that this house will [be] taken down. What a generous gift of healing during this holiday season," Patty Wetterling told KARE 11.
