Woodbury Employee, 18, Stole More Than $2K: Police

A Twin Cities ​teen is facing a felony theft charge after police said she stole more than $2,000 from Dick's Sporting Goods in Woodbury.

WOODBURY, MN — A Twin Cities teen is facing a felony theft charge after police said she stole more than $2,000 from Dick's Sporting Goods in Woodbury's Tamarack Village. Police claim Kayla Juane Johnson, 18, of Woodbury stole $2,140.71 while she was working as a cashier for the store.

The alleged theft, which the criminal complaint states occurred through six different transactions, took place between July 5 and July 15, 2017, according to authorities. Johnson could face up to five years in prison and a $10,000 fine if convicted.
