Woodbury Highway 95 Closure Scheduled

The project includes adding northbound turn lanes, installing rumble strips, road resurfacing and updating drainage.

Motorists will encounter a road closure in both directions on Highway 95 in Woodbury/Afton as crews resurface the roadway. Beginning at 10 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, traffic in both directions of Highway 95 from just north of 22nd Street to 15th Street will close. Motorists are advised to follow the posted detour. Local access will be maintained for residents living within the project area.

The northbound Highway 95 lane closure will reopen to traffic by 5 a.m., Monday, Sept. 18th. The southbound Highway 95 closure will remain in place until the project is complete in late Sept., weather permitting.

The project includes adding northbound turn lanes, installing rumble strips, road resurfacing and updating drainage. When completed, the improvements will enhance safety, provide better access and traffic flow in the corridor, according to a news release from the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
