The Woodbury Lion's Veterans Memorial will be the site for a special one-night community concert event to raise funds and awareness for their project. Located prominently at the southwest corner of Radio Drive and Valley Creek Road (immediately next to City Hall), the Memorial is a beautiful site that recognizes the contributions of those citizens who have served in military duty to honor and project this great nation.
Performing at this concert event are two Woodbury natives, Phil Thompson and Matthew Griswold, who have had both national and international accolades as touring musicians.
Phil Thompson is an internationally acclaimed pop-pianist and vocalist and is an official Kawai endorsed touring artist. As Phil's most recent album, "Love Themes from the Silver Screen" continues to chart on iTunes in the Top 20 "Love Theme" albums, he has performed across the globe at venues including Mandalay Bay and Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, the Royal Imperial Palace in Vienna, the US Open Tennis Tournament for 3 years in a row, and the MGM Grand Macau and Shanghai Rolex Masters in China which lead to a featured article in Cosmopolitan - Hong Kong.

Matthew Griswold is a folk-rock singer, songwriter, and guitarist who has gained a strong following in the Twin Cities playing some 200+ shows a year at venues including the Fine Line Music Cafe, Minneapolis Night Club, and Danny's Bar and Grill. Prior to becoming a full-time musician, Griswold spent five years in the active military as an elisted member of the U.S. Army as a Military Police solider and member of the 2nd Brigade Combat Team/First Armored Division.

While this concert is free and open to the public, a free-will offering will be collected and commemorative pavers will also be available for purchase.
