Woodbury Massage Parlor Was Site Of Sex Trafficking: Police

Detectives surveyed the business and noticed a "flow of all male customers," the criminal complaint states.

WOODBURY, MN — Authorities say a Woodbury massage parlor was the site of sex trafficking. Shixun Lan, 52, was charged in Washington County with sex trafficking, promoting prostitution and operating a business to conceal criminal proceeds.

According to the criminal complaint, after the city gave Lan approval to run a massage parlor in 2017, the business started advertising on backpage.com.

Detectives surveyed the Woodbury Wellness and noticed a "flow of all male customers," the criminal complaint states.

In September, an off-duty investigator saw condom wrappers fall out of a trash bag carried away from the business, police said.

Search warrants were executed Sept. 11 and an ultra-violet light found bodily fluids in every massage room, according to authorities, with heavy concentration where a customer's groin area would be.
