Zoom Now Available To SoWashCo Staff And Teachers In South Washington County Schools

South Washington County Schools (SoWashCo) teachers and staff will now be able to use Zoom for video conferencing with students.

South Washington County Schools (SoWashCo) teachers and staff will now be able to use Zoom for video conferencing with students. In addition to Webex and Google Meet, teachers will have the option to use Zoom if it works best for their class. Additionally, if one platform has noticeable disruptions, another can be used as a back-up to connect with students.

Students can access Zoom on their Chromebook or iPad through their Google login that was provided at the beginning of the school year. If you have questions about the video platform used in your child’s class, please contact your child’s teacher or school principal.

Zoom is in compliance with privacy standards such as the Children’s Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
