• Mississippi man pleads guilty to drug trafficking and manslaughter, faces 30-year sentence (prentissnews.com) — A Monroe County man has been sentenced from Aberdeen to a combined 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to cocaine trafficking and a separate manslaughter case. Prosecutors and local narcotics investigators say the checkpoint and investigation helped remove dangerous drugs from the community. The sentences, covering both Monroe and Lee County charges, take effect immediately.
