The permit is part of a broader wave of about 15 new or updated restaurant and food-service approvals across the Jackson metro, ranging from high-end dining in Ridgeland to new casual spots in Jackson, Pearl, Byram, and other nearby communities.
4. Audio: Kosciusko aldermen evaluate Kratom ban ordinance amid rising concerns (kicks96news.com) — Kosciusko officials are weighing a new ordinance to ban kratom sales, following the lead of several Mississippi cities, including Brandon, that already have full prohibitions in place. The discussion comes after student deaths in Oxford and growing safety concerns, and a vote is expected at an upcoming board meeting. Brandon residents can watch how other towns mirror their city's stance.
