A homegoing service follows there at noon on Saturday, Oct. 3, with burial at McLaurin Memorial Garden, giving the community several chances to honor his life.
• Football Recap: Ripley Gets Some Payback Against Booneville (maxpreps.com) — Clarksdale football fans will see their Tigers open conference play this Friday at 7 p.m., when Ripley visits after a tough loss to Booneville. Ripley enters 1-4 and hungry to rebound, while Booneville stays unbeaten, setting up an important test for Clarksdale's defense against a team that just allowed a big rushing night.
