Today in Jackson:

  • MLK Night of Culture - Two Mississippi Museums (6:00 PM)

From my notebook:

  • Mississippi Animal Rescue League introduced Pathon, who was brought to the shelter because his owners were moving. He is a 6- to 7-month-old Lab mix. He is super friendly and playful, has a great personality, and is housebroken. (Facebook)
  • Mississippi Department of Transportation reported ice on roads and bridges in 19 Mississippi counties. Please use extreme caution if you need to be out for travel. Check current road conditions and get an updated list of impacted counties. (Facebook)
  • Remember to use extra caution on bridges and overpasses as ice and snow could cause issues. MDOT crews are continuing to monitor the highways and spreading salt and slag in problem areas. Please give yourself plenty of time to get where you need to go. (Facebook)
