  1. Brett Favre, the retired NFL player, repaid $600K in welfare money that he accepted for speeches where he didn't appear. There is an additional $228K in interest that is owed, according to Mississippi auditor Shad White. Favre could get sued if he doesn't pay it back. (Jackson Free Press)
  2. St. Alexis Episcopal Church in Jackson is closing its doors after 15 years. The priest passed away unexpectedly just before the pandemic hit, and it was difficult to continue services on Zoom with fill-in priests. The church decided it was best to close down. (WAPT)
  3. Country music star, Travis Tritt will be performing at the American Freedom Concert in December, which will be held at the Mississippi Coliseum. (WAPT)
  4. Jackson city leader, Kenneth Stokes will meet with federal authorities to fight crime; He is also pushing to set up a jail for misdemeanor and felony offenses. (US News)
  5. A Mississippi woman was killed after being thrown from her car that was flipped by a tornado. (News Observer)
