Here are the top stories in Jackson today:
- A woman was charged after a mother and infant were killed in a Hinds County crash. Beth Ann White was charged with two counts of aggravated DUI. There are memorials at the crash site for the mother and child. (WJTV)
- The "Stitch Their Names Memorial Project: A Quilt Exhibit" at Jackson State is honoring victims of racial violence. It is a two-quilt art piece that contains 116 cross-stitched portraits, and there are also written biographies about those who are honored within the quilts. (Jackson Free Press)
- Jackson firefighters were called to Greenwood Lane to an apartment complex for a vehicle fire. (WAPT Jackson)
- A boil-water notice was issued for Jackson residents, and businesses are being affected by a water main break. (WAPT Jackson)
- Massive sinkholes in a Jackson neighborhood are causing a major concern for the community, with some people saying a bus full of children almost flipped over because of them. (WJTV)
