Good day, people of Jackson! It's me again, Kayla Harrison, your host of the Jackson Daily.

Here are the top three stories today in Jackson:
- The Jackson Police Department and the City of Jackson are continuing administrative checkpoints through the TAT program in accordance with the partnership of the Poor People's Campaign. Jackson Mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba says tents will soon be set up adjacent to the checkpoints which will provide documentation and resources on licenses and other community resources. Organizers with the Poor People's Campaign are hoping these steps will prevent future conflict and make sure residents are prepared. (WAPT Jackson)
- A Jackson woman was killed following a wreck on Highway 49 in Yazoo County on Sunday. Mississippi Highway Patrol is currently investigating how Tiffany Laverne Day, 46, drove into a ditch that caused the vehicle to flip and partially eject the victim. (WLBT)
- The Children's of Mississippi urgent care has extended its hours. The urgent care will now be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday at the University of Mississippi Medical Center's Grants Ferry clinic in Flowood. "This gives families access to care that's closer to home for many and that's more appropriate for some conditions," said Dr. Benji Dillard, division director of general pediatrics and pediatric urgent care.
