- The Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) with the Jackson Police Department is working to support individuals facing mental health crises. The new program is meant to coordinate resources for those suffering from mental illness and to determine where the individual should be taken after an incident. The program will work with Hinds Behavioral Health Services and Central Mississippi Health Services. (WAPT Jackson)
- The City of Jackson is contracting with a new company to repair the city's water meters. Utility Metering Solutions will travel across the area installing the new meters and will wear identifying clothing in an attempt to not alarm residents. The mayor has urged the community to not remove the plastic caps that will be placed on the water meters. (WAPT Jackson)
- A deputy clerk with the Rankin County Justice Clerk's office has been arrested related to her husband's prosecution. Samantha Renea White, 35, has been charged with hindering the prosecution of her husband Cody Robison Knight, 27, during a first-degree possession case. Knight was allowed to go free by his wife and is currently hiding from law enforcement. (WLBT)
