  1. Two Jackson natives gave back in a big way to Jim Hill. Tiger alum Keith French partnered with Provine alum Rickey Robinson to donate new uniforms to the girls and boys basketball teams. Both men grew up in West Jackson and wanted to give back to the city because it was the place that raised and shaped them. (WLBT)
  2. Jackson Mayor Chokwe A. Lumumba joined the launch of the Mayors Alliance to End Childhood Hunger. The Alliance will partner with the national nonprofit Share Our Strength and its No Kid Hungry campaign. Mayor Lumumba said, "I stand with this coalition and support efforts to eliminate childhood hunger." (WJTV)
  3. Jackson police are investigating an armed robbery at a Dollar Tree on Ellis Avenue. They are still gathering information and are uncertain if there were injuries that occurred.
