- Two Mississippi organizations held an event to fight obesity in downtown Jackson. Mississippi Moves and Mississippi School of Health Services and Careers partnered up and offered a free event on Farish Street. There were plant-based tacos available, free vital screenings, and a career fair for health and wellness. (WAPT Jackson)
- Days before the Supreme Court will start its new term, a non-profit held a rally in Jackson for abortion justice. Sisters Helping Every Woman Rise and Organize (SHERO) brought women together on Saturday, holding signs such as "Keep your laws off my body" and "Fight for women's rights."The group's executive director, Michelle Colon, was quoted as saying, "This has never been about safety for women. It's never been about their lives. It's never been about medicine or health. This has always been about overturning Roe v. Wade." (WLBT)
