- A UMMC garage field hospital is being dismantled as Mississippi continues to struggle with ICU capacity of only 10 available beds. Samaritan's Purse established the additional field hospital; however, the unit is being demobilized due to a temporary increase of health care workers and a decrease in COVID-19 hospitalizations. - Parents voice differing opinions on mask requirements in the Jackson metro school districtwith some strongly against and other strongly for the policy.
