- Jackson State University launched the first HBCU Financial Wellness Center Program. Their Financial Wellness Center wants to assist students in reaching their financial goals through coaching, workshops, and digital resources. They also will provide financial literacy resources about money management, budgeting, savings, credit rating, and loans. (WJTV)
- The Jackson Police Department is investigating after a body was found in an abandoned building on Monday. The decomposed body was found in what used to be the Enterprise building near Terry Road. According to police, the man was found with a rope tied around his arm and a syringe near the body. (WAPT Jackson)
- Outlets of Mississippi will host a Trunk-or-Treat event on Oct. 30, featuring games, crafts, and a dance party from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. (WJTV)
- Jackson issued a new request for proposals for garbage pickup, requesting them by Nov. 23 at 3 p.m. (WLBT)
