- A teen was shot and killed while sitting inside a car in Jackson. A 14-year-old and three other minors were sitting in a car at the Eagle Gas Station. The 14-year-old died of his injuries, but the other minors' conditions are currently unknown. (WJTV)
- Controversial charter school regulations that were approved last month could still be improved. These regulations are the first to be reworked since their implementation in 2013. However, a charter advocate thinks there is still time for them to be changed. (Northside Sun)
- JPD identified the man charged for killing a woman at a Jackson hotel. Clyde Hawkins shot a woman at the Economy Inn on Wednesday and was arrested. Police say the crime was interpersonal, as it seems the man and woman knew each other. (WAPT Jackson)
