  1. Mississippi Veterans Home will host a job fair in Jackson on Oct. 20 at Tougaloo Community Center. Recruiters are looking to hire workers in positions including Registered Nurses, Licenced Practical Nurse, and Certified Nurse Assistant. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., and it will abide with local safety guidelines due to COVID-19. (WJTV)
  2. The Jackson Department of Parks and Recreation is set to host a drive-thru trunk or treat event on Oct. 28 at the VA Legion Softball Complex. Anyone who participates will receive treats from decorated 'Trunk or Treat' vehicles. Admission to the event is free and costumes are welcomed. (WAPT Jackson)
